The Leo triplet

The Leo triplet or M 66 group consists of three spiral galaxies about 35 million light years away: the galaxy M 65 (NGC 3623) at the top right, the galaxy M 66 (NGC 3627) at the bottom right and the galaxy NGC 3628 at the bottom left.

M 66 is a galaxy in the Leo constellation and it is a spiral galaxy with a weak bar.
It is located at a distance of 31 million light years and is moving away from us with a speed of about 700 km/s.
